So...it's been awhile!

Well finally I'm back here at my blog, haven't got anything to show you, haven't really felt inspired. It's been a long time since I've even had an inkling to become inspired, why is that I wonder? I guess its just a timing thing!
My half of the office...is organized and clean, just waiting for me to come play in it,the other half I had to give over to my hubby for some work space for him.

So a few years ago I gave up my Stamping Up business, kind felt like I was spending more than I was making....does that ever sound weird to admit, even to myself, but it really was. So I've been looking for something to get me inspired....and I hope I have found it!
I just signed up to be a Sunset Gourmet consultant. I can hardly wait to host my launch party and see what my friends think. Sunset Gourmet is a relatively new company in Canada but oh how I love their products. They make entertaining quick and easy.

Now I know they aren't anything out of this world, but heck today I was kind of just going for a simple look. Hope to be able to spend some time looking for some new challenges to join this week.

How things have changed.....

I think I began to stamp when I fell in love with the SU stamps when they came to Canada. I just thought I had to have them all, but I think as we evolve and grow as a person so do our likes and dislikes. I am no longer a SU demonstrator, haven't been one for the past 2 years, just found it too difficult to work full time, create full time and still enjoy the stamping aspect of it all. I am glad I decided to give up my demonstratorship 2 years ago, now when I pull out my stamps I am enjoying spending time with them. I am amazed at how far the stamping world has come in the last 10 years, there are some many interesting and unique stamp companies out there now, it is just too difficult to choose where to start. With the economy being what it is now I have been all about utilizing what I've got!, easier said than done at times. I can't be the only person like this , is there anyone else out there like that? I guess everytime I come across a new stamp company I think I "gotta have it,I try really hard not to fall into that trap and get sucked back in.... too bad you didn't have the option to "try them out" kind of like a test driving a new vehicle......Wondering if there is anyone interested in swapping some images? I would love to swap some images with you, just give me a shout and we'll see what we can do .
Ok so I haven't really done any challenges this week, I'm going to show you one of the wedding cards I did last week for a wedding we attended, can you say procrastinator, yep that's me! Created this 2 hours before we left the house for the evening..Not bad for leaving things to the last minute.

So I pulled out some of my old papers and one of the first stamp sets I got when I joined SU in 2002. I love my cuttlebug so of coarse I had to use that as well. I hope the newly married couple enjoyed the card!

Been one of those weeks.....

Well it's been a long time coming, but we've finally had some warm weather show up. Ohhhh it's been nice, but man talk about muggy! So needless to say because I haven't had to be outside, I have been hiding out inside my house with my central air on, not really doing much of anything but just enough to get by! But thats ok, every now and then we gotta have a couple of days like that, we deserve it don't we??
So instead of getting any stamping done I've been trying to find my MOJO....seems like I just get started and it dissappears as fast as it arrived! In my travels I have found some real neet blogs that I will probably o follobecome a faithful follower, if you're looking for something new check them out

2 Challenges in One!

So like always I tend to spend more time surfing and checking out everyone's blog (they can become quite addicting , can"t they?) and see all the creative work that everyone's been doing. So I began writing this on Wednesday, and I found two challenges that kind of piqued my interest and I thought I might just be able to be able to create one card for two challenges. I know, I know...it's now Saturday...remember I started this on Wednesday. I have been following the Mojo Monday for quite some time and I've been considering spending some time creating and posting the end result, just have never gotten around to it, but now that I have my very own blog, I think it may just be the perfect time to do it! So I guess it's time to put up and shut up and post them! So here it is Mojo Monday 98 and what makes it even sweeter is there are some prizes up for grabs( for every 50 entries there will be 1 winner) So check out the challenges and their details at http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/ and challenge #42 Spot the Cuttlebug Spot at http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

A Little This and a Little of That.....

Well I do believe summer has arrived here, but unfortunately we've had more days with wind than without it. Have been off at the lake doing this and that with the family and are back for a few days so I've been trying to get caught up on my blogging, before we are ready to head back. While catching up on my sites that I like to visit I came across http://www.cosmocricket.typepad.com/..... I just love the humour that these girls have over there! It definately is a MUST to visit! Check out their new papers they are releasing at CHA.

Baby Inspirations!

It wasn't long ago that I was asked to create some baby cards, only problem was I didn't have any already made up and they didn't know what they were going to need, boy or girl?, as the baby hadn't arrived yet. So with the task in hand I had to become inspired soon and come up with something fast before the baby was born. I sometimes find it easier to create when I have a goal in front of me, something I know needs to get done, that and the fact that the older I get the better I work under a little bit of stress (I used to be a planner...but I like winging it now that the kids are older)...I guess that just proves I truly am a procrastinator!
I need to figure out how to create a watermark to put on my pictures but for now this will work!

Stamping......

I've always loved stamps - and those of you that know me know that I've collected TONS of them over the years...I use them occasionally, but I've never really consider myself to be a "real stamper." To me, stamping is a form of art - something that only an artist can create but I've come to realize that stamping can be done by just about "anyone" (especially if I can do it!) ...I thought you truly had to be an honest to goodness artist in order to have your work appreciated by others. I guess that's why I was a bit surprised when I was asked to create cards for friends and family members. Like most artists I can become "overwhelmed" when I "have to" create something, I love being inspired, it's easier to create that way. Lately I've been inspired by the arrival of Baby Lila, she's so adorable!, hopefully this blog can keep my inspiration flowing.

After ranting about the weather yesterday....finally a decent day today which means there is barely any wind, hopefully it will hold off until later today and we'll be able to get out in the boat. When I get a chance I will post!

Sun, Sun, Please Come Out!

At first I thought it was nice, but now it is just getting old....This is not typical weather around here. Enough!! Before we know it summer will be gone and it will be time to head back to school. I have (had) big plans for our summer vacation,....boating, camping, and relaxing in the sun. This cool weather has defiantly put a damper on all of that.
